Immediately preceding this post are my satirical comments about the changing of police canines in Chicago.
CBS' closing prime time segment this evening focused on the war in Chicago...the city's real war. Featured were 14 of more than 20,000 photographs by photographer Carlos Javier Ortiz's six year effort documenting gang war violence.
Several years ago I read that juvenile delinquency in the US occurred least in Jewish and Chinese cultures...both which had strong father figures. On the opposite end of the spectrum was the black culture with the highest rate of delinquents...and the largest absence of strong father figures.
Back then I also personally witnessed an incident in a department store's gift wrap area just before Father's Day. A little Negro girl asked her mother this: "Mommy, who is my daddy?" That simple question spoke volumes.
