There actually was a lunar eclipse on Sunday, 28 November 2012, but it was not visible in Minnesota and especially not on the radio. Maybe people that close to Canada and especially in November have a problem with brain freeze. Need to wear those ear muffs folks.
Oops! I overlooked Garrison Keillor and his NPR Prairie Home Companion radio show. I would be willing to bet that he showed the eclipse on one of his segments.
On another hand maybe northern Minnesota is populated by aliens and radio waves are visible to them.
News from that far north is a little slow to reach the Gulf South, United States. That is not an unreasonable conclusion that could explain why the headline is future tense and the actual event probably took place about two years ago.
