Colt, Choice of Old Warhorses

Back in the Day

The M1911, better known simply as the Colt .45,  though not featured in this print ad, made it's debut in the late 1890s. Seems the US Marines are again sticking to their guns if the new order amounting to 22.5 million dollars is a reliable indicator. The same Connecticut manufacturer still makes the famous side arm. It is a comeback from the military issued Baretta M9s which was never really popular with the troops.

As word gets out about the new order, civilians are getting on the bandwagon too...before it's too late.
