'Tis Tasty #1 - Come-Back Sauce

Call it a sauce. Call it a dip. It maters not what you name it, but here we refer to it simply as "come-back sauce." Been in the family since before dirt.

Its consistency is more like a dip but it's also an excellent dressing for a garden salad. Here's the recipe:


2 cups • mayonaise
1/4 cup • chili sauce
1/4 cup • catsup (ketchup)
1/4 teaspoon • yellow mustard
1/4 cup • oil (rice bran oil is excellent)
1/4 cup • sweet pickle juice
1 tablespoon • Worcestershire sauce
4-5 shakes • Tabasco sauce
1/2 teaspoon • black pepper
2 cloves • garlic, grated
1 onion • medium, grated
2 tablespoons • sweet pickle relish
2 tablespoons • water


Mix all ingredients together together in blender. Chill and keep refrigerated in a sealed container and it will keep as long as a jar of mayo. Also good immediately when used as a veggie dip, boiled shrimp dip, garden salad dressing.
