Immediately following is a current example of one variation of a political spin story:

Judy Wallman, a professional genealogy researcher in southern California, was doing some personal work on her own family tree.  She discovered that Senator Harry Reid's great-great uncle, Remus Reid, was hanged for horse stealing and train robbery in Montana in 1889.  Both Judy Wallman and Harry Reid share this common ancestor.
The only known photograph of Remus shows him standing on the gallows  in Montana territory. On the back of the picture that Judy obtained during her research is this inscription: “Remus Reid, horse thief, sent to Montana Territorial Prison 1885, escaped 1887, robbed the Montana Flyer six times. Caught by Pinkerton detectives, convicted, and hanged in 1889.”
So Judy recently e-mailed Senator Harry Reid for information about their great-great uncle.
Believe it or not, Harry Reid's staff sent back the following biographical sketch for her genealogy research:
"Remus Reid was a famous cowboy in the Montana Territory.  His business empire grew to include acquisition of valuable equestrian assets and intimate dealings with the Montana railroad.  Beginning in 1883, he devoted several years of his life to government service, finally taking leave to resume his dealings with the railroad.  In 1887, he was a key player in a vital investigation run by the renowned Pinkerton Detective Agency.  In 1889, Remus passed away during an important civic function held in his honor when the platform upon which he was standing collapsed."

Speed and convenience of the ‘net have made numerous permutations possible. Examples of aliases include Remus Reid, Remus Rodham, Gunther Gore, Chadsworth Bush, and Robert Biden. Follow the logic and it’s easy to find them attached politicians.

Targets have always been politicians. So far we haven’t seen Billy Graham mentioned, but it could happen. (More appropriately the quasi religious personality, Joel Osteen would be named.)

NOW THAT's how it's done, Folks!  That's real POLITICAL SPIN !!

Head of Pepsi Issues Unreal Trump Statement … Time to Boycott NOW

While President Barack Obama, defeated 2016 Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and President-elect Donald Trump have all called for unity, PepsiCo CEO and chairperson Indra Nooyi has instead chosen to stir the pot.

She did so Thursday at the New York Times DealBook Conference in Manhattan by issuing unnecessary attacks on her future president.

“How dare you talk about women that way!” she exclaimed in a statement at the conference, referencing comments Trump made while on the campaign trail and in an old “Access Hollywood” tape leaked last month.

“If we don’t nip this in the bud, it is going to be a lethal force in society,” she added, as reported by Forbes.

Was such caustic criticism really necessary? Even President Obama had reportedly promised Wednesday to “root for” Trump and essentially let bygones be bygones, according to The New York Times.

“Everybody is sad when their side loses an election,” he declared. “But the day after, we have to remember that we’re actually all on one team. This is an intramural scrimmage.”

In Nooyi’s defense, she did at least have the courtesy to remind her employees, who reportedly broke into tears over Trump’s election, that the world was not about to end.

“The first thing that we all have to do is to assure everyone living in the United States that you are safe,” she said Thursday, reported CNBC. “Nothing has changed as a result of this election. The process of democracy has happened. We just have to let life go on.”

Sure, except that laying into Trump for comments he made during a heated campaign did not qualify as “let(ting) life go on.” It sounded more like her holding a grudge that could and will most likely cost her billions in vanishing sales.
